Quite an interesting arrangement and i have subjected a couple of jazz standards to this very same type of subdued/introspective treatment.
i think you could have made the song title phrase ('500 Miles High') more prominent and not so rushed/buried (or even BETTER, leave the phrase/break in its exact original form). You don't always have to change EVERYTHING !! ha ha....
