Not really much you can do. The program the game is written with is pretty basic and problematic. I'd post your system specs on the IWBTG forums and see what people say. I haven't played this in a long while so I don't think I could help you on that.

I can beat this one and Mecha Birdo easily. Just stuck on Dracula, and his funny way to NEVER start a fight with the same attacks.

Boss rush mode. Unlocks when you beat the game....I think anyway. Stuff might've changed since then, haven't played this game in years.

does the difficulty also changes how the boss fights?

nope. The game itself remains pretty much unchanged, it's just the save points that become less and less frequent, so you have to go longer and longer flawlessly or else you get thrown all the way back.
My best on very hard is 4 deaths.

This boss has never been nerfed.
