Why wouldn't you use this as a replacement to your standard point and shoot camera if you are not a professional photographer? It's a very good camera to just have one device with you and the video quality is pretty good too. It can definitely be a replacement for you regular camera if you are a regular everyday user. Who needs the smile feature when you just say cheese to the people you are taking a snap of.
