@pmc820 I agree that many people are saying this, but I disagree with the fact that he says it to fit a certain mold. I think that he is inspired by ideas that films and books have to offer, as well as the inspirations you receive from watching human behavior at not only the good deeds, but the bad as well. It's something I admire about him, the fact he can see the ideas and meaning inside of things and what is represented, not just what is spoon fed to you.

i think k'naan isa great artist but i really think hes just playing into this whole artsy new age underground movement like oh I love a great artistic film or novel, it's almost like he's saying it to fit a certain mold, i could very well be wrong but it doesn't really sound genuine to me.
