If you had proper credentials you would not have a problem. If you had proper credentials instead of argueing with those who have no authority you would contact the press office and clear it up. Harrassing officers is stupid and lecturing them on the first amendment is so totally stupid is beyound belief.

This man's rights where violated. He crossed the line once he began to approach secret service members and caused a scene but before that, all actions other than the assurance of no malicious intent where unwarranted and beyond the bounds of the law.
