The truth is that we had a serious food shortage after we interned loyal Japanese-Americans who were the backbone of agriculture here in the Western United States. The internment was championed by William Randolph Hearst who wanted the land that Japanese-American strawberry farmers owned by San Francisco. Hearst made billions in today's dollars.
