The crew over at FIGHT! would like to think we know a thing or two about what makes a good fighter. But we don't hold a candle to "Big" John McCarthy when it comes to breaking down the best mixed martial artists in the game. In part 4 of this "FIGHT! Life" series, John gives us the lowdown on BJ, Anderson, GSP and also makes his predictions about which up-and-comers will be taking their place in the not-so-distant future.

Produced and directed by Matthew Ross. Camera: Rick Lee. Assistant Camera: Diego Helguero and Anthony Williams. Edit: Ashley Cahill and Ryan Jackson-Healy. Music: Jacques Brautbar.

  • god damn... hes dead on with his appraisals of bones and cain

  • @igianmcfmt18 k the koscheck fight was the only time hes used a jab, you think your smart because your "correcting" me lol get the fuck outa here with that shit. you probably think you know everything, your the type of person that makes me hate fans of mma.

  • @McClinchey09 NO he jabs when he stands and then he taked you down

  • @sdm26422 Good call

  • you were right about kane lol

  • he was right about valesquez

  • @KllassIIK but.... that would be smart

  • Gsp is so good at switching from stand up to wrestling. It's not that he's the best wrestler in the world, it's that he has the person thinking wrestling when he's throwing kicks and punches, then he has the person thinking stand up while gsp is going for a takedown. Very intelligent fighter but no one is unbeatable.

  • @LemonNation True. I have a feeling this fight will for the most part take place on the feet. In the first Kos/GSP fight kos underestimated GSP's wrestling but i dont think he will make that same mistake now. Not saying Kos will put on a wrestling clinic but he will do enough to keep it standing. Only problem there is even in stand up i feel GSP has a more well rounded stand up game. GSP has good wrestling for MMA but im still not completely sold on him being the best wrestler in MMA.

  • @MMAGuru08 true that, but you also have to take into consideration that GSP relies a lot more on just taking people down now. I think a combination of his ever increasing wrestling ability and the humbling TKO at the hands of Serra made him realize it's safer to go for a double and fail than it is to botch a counter.
