Blackberry Trackball Won't Click, Scroll?

The FIX!!! The REASON!!! (((((PLEASE READ))))) For Cursor That Won't Move Up, Down, Left or Right. Trackball that won't click.
Pearl 8100 8110 8120 8130 Curve 8300 8310 8320 8330
Blackberry 8800 8820 8830 If you feel you can not do this yourself, do not do it !!!
FYI;
The trackball assembly is built the same even for Blackberry Tour 9630, Blackberry Bold 9000, Blackberry Curve 8900, Blackberry Pearl Flip 8220, Pearl Flip 8230 you just got to figure out, how to get to the trackball in the newer model Blackberry's

How important is the small "spoon" piece?

Mine was loose when i took it apart, probably broken loose from plastic housing.

Reinserted track ball without it and it seems to work. Is the spoon necessary? Will it damage the phone using the trackball without it?

1. the small magnetic wheels might move out of place.

2. the friction of the ball on the dome, that is on the mother board might be damaged.

I would try replacing the spoon back in or replacing the whole trackball assembly.

like my trackball will scroll but it wont click , its a brand new trackball since its a replacement

@longthixxx there is a video link to the trackball dome in video description check it out. maybe the dome is messed up. or try taking out trackball and putting it back in, so to make sure it is sitting in place correctly. Let me know.

Just an FYI, if you get that piece wet, it won't click. However, there are several shortcuts to get around clicking. (The enter, shift, and space bar buttons)

I had a similar problem with my blackberry's scroll ball thing, their was rust forming on the black part of one of the scrolling wheels, I had to use a pin to scrape it off for it to work correctly again, instead of stuttering or not responding at all.
