2010 Sportster Iron 883 by Harley Davidson.

Just had the 1000 mile service on it, if that makes any difference.

My buddies and I popped out the quarter sized steel baffle that was stock so these are almost straight pipes, it still has the normal honey comb around the lining of the mufflers.

little bit more 'ummph' noticed, beats paying close to $400 for pipes.

*badlander seat is on the bike for $200 through HD (with passenger foot peg kit)
*took off the chrome heat shields and wrapped them with black Screaming eagle heat wrap

  • after all said and done, i have the arlene ness sucker intake on it and i just took it off after a while. the intake didnt do it much good, i lost power from it. once i put the stock into back on it was a noticeable difference.

the bikes still running great with this mod, no issues.

  • you might lose torque as exhaust needs some back-pressure. good luck

  • @dankbobby Thanks for your concern, but it really didnt, if anything it felt more open, i just put on the NESS big sucker stage 1 and the bike really screams now at WOT, without a power commander, i'll get videos up when i get a chance

  • i just bought cycle shack slipp ons so much better than stock ! nice heat wrap

  • I have completed this mod also, its the best Mod ever, the sound is perfect, right in between loud and quiet, who needs Vance and hines, samson etc, just punch out the baffle blank in the standard pipes. no more bleeding ears, hello sweet sounds.

  • Now that you have had this on the pipes for a little while, have you noticed any changes in the engine performance? Anything, no matter how small? Thanks.

  • @caporaso Actually, back pressure in not a desirable thing in an engine.Loss of power can be notice for the engine running lean. Just remap it and you're good!

  • Looks cool with the black heat wrap ! Do you have a video where I can take a better look at the badlander seat on the Iron? I do not know what kind of dua seat to place.

    Thanks and all the best.
