Mine goes WELL over 120- never randomly shuts off... as far as knowing about how to shut off the governor- google it man- it shouldnt be TOO hard... bought the car in Europe, brought the beast home to MO... no more 120mph grocery store runs :-(

WE have taken the car up to about 130 MPH. I LOVE having the Auto Bahn!

@ac8402007 Unfortunately your insanely wrong with that comparison. The Bonneville stopped being the top of the line a long time ago, Flagship car? Maybe. Top of the line? No. U and your BMW's now have the GTO and G8 to contend with, with the G8 GXP slaughtering even your precious M5 as seen all over Youtube time after time. Sorry. Your answer is an epic fail.

I had that exact same car, shut off at 127mph, its pretty quick for a family sedan, mid to high 15's in the 1/4. But the stock 4 cylinder h22 prelude i got now blows its doors off

Proof that north america can actually make cars right there. Bonneville SSEi, Buick Grand National GNX, Camaro, Corvette. All iconic General Motors brands that are some of the fastest of their time and class.

E30 318i is slow as hell. I raced one in my 92 Beretta GTZ and beat the crap out of the BMW. The SSEi ain`t slower than a GTZ.

Forget it, a 318 is or i has no chance against that Bonneville. Those Bonnies run high 14`s to low 15`s in the quarter mile.

@ac8402007 Na, not into peeing for sport. I just know this test shows the autobahn... The turns belong to the BMW. I have had a 318i, and I could care less about the Bonneville. But GM cars are already better than before. GM went downhill because of the old manager. BTW 318i was the worst car I had ever owned. Its previous owner must have been horrible to it. So I cannot speculate with complete accuracy aside from specs.
