and again, that there are turkish citizens of kurdish descent does not exlude the fact that alevis have supported ataturk to found turkey, that they sacrifized themselves in wars against all the enemies, i dont want to mention the whole foundation stories and myths, i think you know them all...it does not exlude the fact as well that even today, the big majority of alevis do support ataturk's party...

of course there is a difference...cultural and political, even religious dimensions differ immensely from each other in ottoman empire and turkish republic.. you made the point, you said ataturk WAS once an ottoman turk, that was my point too...an ottoman turk trying to rebel against the ottoman state in the young turkish revolution, and later a great soldier and statesman trying to modernize turkey and to approach the western world..you know this all...

@nomorehaTRed republic and state is two completely different things. What is the difference between ottomon turk and turkey-turk? Ataturk was once a ottomon turk? so was yunus emre? ehmm, sorry dude but you talk about the turkish state, i suppose about the rebuplic of turkey...but you forget that the founding fathers of turkey fought against the ottomans during world war1, with the help of turkish alevis, which is crucial to mention..so you equalize turkey-turks with ottoman-turks, that's wrong!!! by the way of course one must acknowledge what has happened in the past, it doesnt matter where and when or by whom!!

When I see Turks defending this man, I ask my self, do these people even know how disgusting the Turkish State is, before they even question why Timbaland stole this piece of music. The music was written by Pir Sultan Abdal, a Alevi from Khorasan that brought alevi philosophy to anatolia (turkey), however he was hanged during 1550 by the Ottoman empire, because of islamic rule......These are the realities that turks must accept before they defend this music being stolen!!
