@9753zing I agree mate, some catches are difficult to determine, even at club level I still have difficulty determining some of them, but if this is not considered cheating, yet the Ponting one is in the WC SF, that is double standards and I can't tolerate it.

Huge thumbs up for Gilchrist's comment in support of Ganguly against the crowd jeering him when they saw the replay. "Easy game with a replay isn't it?".
And fair play to Harbijhan who didn't appeal and even looks like he actually put a hand up to Bucknor to say "No, we're not appealing for that". And good on Ganguly as well for holding up his hand apologising for the appeal.

I don't blaim Ganguly for thinking he has caught a batsmen off his thigh pad, but to claim a half volley like that, is vastly different to Ponting's where the ball appears to have touched the grass in the act of getting his body under complete control. The point at which Ponting has completed the catch and got his body under control is a grey area. On video replay I would not say Ponting was a catch, but to point fingers at him for appealing or claiming a catch is pathetic. Ganguly's was worse.
