WJHL-TV 11, Johnson City TN Sign-Off & Sign-On from 1988

WJHL-TV, an affiliate of CBS, is East Tennessee's second commercial TV station after WATE-TV 6 in Knoxville. It is not known whether the clips featured in this combined video were recorded the same morning or not (I'm assuming they were). The sign-off is preceded by the closing of CBS Late Night and an Eyewitness News 11 Update, and is followed by the first twenty seconds of the SSB. The sign-on is preceded by ten seconds of color bars. Both the sign-off and sign-on features video of the mountains in the east Tennessee area. This recording was contributed by Matt Sittel, who was residing in Kingsport at the time he made this clip.
