Terraria 1.1 Solo Twins Fight with caster character

This is me solo killing the hardmode eye boss, The Twins, with my caster character (everyone swears you need to use a megashark or star cannon so I wanted to try something different).

I used my old Eater of Worlds arena and simply raised the ceiling height to accommodate wings. The heart statue "healing stations" on the sides of the arena make this fight sooooooooooooo much easier, especially when you're like me and not the greatest dodger. They are simply wired to pressure plates on both sides of them. My first successful kill without those stations is where all those pretty tombstones came from ^.^

All the important items and potions I use are shown at the end of the video.

what armour were you using? because its basically impossible to do this with mithril so i think that was just your social stuff right?

@eztnmetal you can see the items I am wearing near the end of the video. If they are still doing too much damage to you, try reforging your accessories to get extra armor. You can get up to 4 armor per item! Alternately, if you are good enough at evasion, you could get a significant amount of bonus damage % from reforging as well, which would end the fight a lot faster. Finally, although I did not use one in this video thanks to the health stations, a cross neckalce helps vs the flame

@eztnmetal in short though, I'm actually wearing adamant armor with mithril as social. The other bosses can definitely be killed in cobalt (destroyer) and mithril (skeletron) but these guys were just hitting me much too hard and it took a lot of tries to get the timing down to evade them (I honestly do a pretty bad job dodging in the video, but the few times I do well you can see the correct pattern).

Also, for people who prefer guns, the Clockwork Assult Rifle with crystal bullets is a good option. And if you also get Star Statues placed into your arena and hooked up with wiring, they will produce mana stars that give you 100 mana per star making the fight as a mage even easier.

@Beemlord I wish I had some of those for these fights! Would have saved a pile of gold on mana potions, for sure.

When I tried these guys the first time, I looked for videos and they were all pretty much the same: pop a gravity potion and fly around for 10 minutes with a megashark or endless star cannon ammo, and I thought, there has to be a way to do these without all that. Admittedly, the basic strategy is similar, but without all those accidental wyverns or thousands of wasted bullets XD

Everytime I battle the Twins, the Spamatizm's health goes down to 4000, but he starts to dash like crazy and kill me (he is much, much faster than me). I think everything I need is some heart statues.

Lol, was on a server and someone dropped a Mystical Crystal Storm. Then, on another server someone dropped a Megashark. I have full Cobalt lol.
