Have to agree that the greatest thrill is having a popping plug attacked by a nice Striper or alligator Bluefish!

Nice fish. i caught a 42 pounder and let it go. Thought it was the right thing to do. All strippers that big are female and she lived to produce a many more generations of fish....i hope. It is a thrill to catch one though.

I caught a stripper when i was 14 at raccoon lake in indiana. it weighed 23pounds and was 37 inches long. you got a nice fish though. did you get it taxideremied, i did cuz it was my first fish

really? because I measured it and it was 40 inches. the guy who caught it is about 6'3"- 6'4" and he was fishing an over 10' rod.
