The Playhouse together with Diversity Challenges are putting on a performance about the dance history of Derry/ Londonderry. Teenagers from different communities will show the most popular dances in the city from the 1940s until now. The participants got the opportunity to grasp an insight into performing arts and what it means to work as an artist.

During four months the young people were provided with dance workshops first in their own youth clubs, going on to rehearsals at The Playhouse as a neutral venue. As the show is about history and stories we organized intergenerational meetings in order to support the understanding within the generations.
The event will take place at The Playhouse on Tue 10th May at 8pm. Admission is free (donations welcome). To book contact (028)71268027 or visit www.derryplayhouse.co.uk
