hi, i needed some help with the restoring part.
i hooked up my 500 gb western digital hard drive, but when i go to restore data, and i click restore, the screen gets all sparkly. is this suppose to happen?

Just a quick question, what does the restore function include. Does it include the PSN User accounts as in, are they also restored?

When you restore its everything you backed up including games so you don't have to download them all over again. I'm not sure if the PSN accounts are included.

how do you save your trophies? are does that happen by it self if you do a full backup

You press Triangle on Trophy Collection and go to sync with server and that saves to the Sony servers.
