FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS A JOKE. All we get in the mass media is an infomercial for the Republican talking points, or the phony war on terrorism, or push button issues like abortion, gay marriage or Obama's place o birth. For commonsense points of view
from a credible source like this program - nobody watches or hence sponsors. This guy has more morality and goodness in one hair than Hannity, Boehner, and Limbaugh combined.

My heart-felt condolences to Professor Bacevich. He lost a son to a war he had opposed from the beginning. I hope more Americans will listen to what he says and take grass root action to change things. Together we stand, divided ... we fall ...

I agree 100% with Professor Bacevich... I know a few Marines who have done 6 tours. Stand up job our gov't is doing for returning vets... Yeah, right.

If you have not yet read THE NEW AMERICAN MILITARISM, Bacevich's first book, please do. LIMITS OF POWER is also good. Yet the insults given to Bacevich on a column he wrote for the NYT were extreme. This was just after Andrew Jrs death.

energy is cheap. it doesnt need to be in the form of oil at all. wood/geothermal/coal can easily power north america.

Professor Bacevich is an honorable and intelligent man. I'm glad he's out there writing books and helping to bring attention to these things.
