  • you need to start below the hairline and push your braid right to the edge of it. if you start the braid over the crest, it will never lay flat. if you subscribe, i'll let you know when my site is done. i'll have many hours of instruction and close up work.

  • Thanks so much for sharing your talent! I haven't done hunter braids in 11 years, checked out your video, & my braids came out better than I thought this morning!

    Take care!

  • @cowgurljb hey THANKS!!!! I'm working in texas at Still Forest Farm. i'm working on a braiding video and classes you can sign up for and watch braiding and ask questions and stuff. i'm thinking that will be later than sooner but i will have video subscriptions available to make your braids great.

  • if you cut the big "palm tree" out, you will find a big blunt "CHUNK" in your mane. it won't lay flat like the rest and won't have the same strength the other braids have because there won't be anything to help it stay in place. part of the reason i leave "tail ends" are to help the braid stay put.

  • do you ever go to the Hampton Classic? You could make a few grand easy in that week :)

  • @code3emt007 i got trampled and kicked in the head while working for Mikel Vulgamott at Horizon Farms. i have horrible migrains and my left elbow is thrashed, and while i CAN twist and braid it kills my arm to do so. if you FACEBOOK me you can see the picture of the back of my neck before the VET put stitches in my neck and they sent me home, telling me i was bleeding into my brain and i needed to call 911 from my house.....

  • @angle5daysaweek 5 inches or less. You can not do nice hinter braids on a long mane. ever.

  • Awesome vid :D WOW

QUESTION??? How long was that mane??

Like past the neck? Or halfway down ?

  • This really helped thank you ur braids look amazing =]

  • This was amazing to watch! The knotting behind the braid is new to me, and I love how you can catch the tails a bit more and snug up the braid. I have a few horses that have some rubbing issues--this will make it much easier to keep the braids tidy (as well as the cover to keep the braids from getting totally rubbed out). Great tutorial!!!

  • WTF,,lol.. i was looking for lessons to braid a human's hair. too funny

  • when I am done the standard braiding each peice into the yarn and I pull it through the top, my braid loops dont lay flat, are they supposed to ? or is it okat for them to be not laying flat like yours? If not, how do you fix that? Also my braids like to twist one way or another? Is there anyway of fixing that or is there something you think I might be doing that is causing this? :) thank you so much! your videos are amazing !!! :)

  • QUESTION:

When i braid I start at the very top. So i put my hands over the horses neck to make sure that i start braiding right at the hairline. They tend to not lay flat for some reason. Do you pull the section of mane down to the ground? I see that there is hair that is not braided right on the top.
