@kd4kdf I have NEVER had LOW audio on receive with me 2800. I keep the volume low BECAUSE of the great receive!

I have the same radio, it's an awesome little rig. Very well built, milspec, looks like it could take a beating, and has a nice big exhaust grill (forget the term lol) for heat.

65w? Try 75w.... And on top of that, mine shows 80w on a meter. You have a better radio than you think!

@CSXAC6000CW Yep 65 watts, but has a receiver that is really is deaf at low input.
As long as you have a strong signal coming in it works fine, but I do a lot of 2 M FM simplex, and need all the ears I can get.
