IMO the best diving spot (scuba or snorkeling) is about 15km north of Sharam. At the mangrove nature reserve. Its not the mangrove area itself, but more around the shipwreck of Maria Schroeder. Amazing spot, great biodiversity all over. An almost untouched reef.
Its kinda hard to get to since you have to swim across 60-100 meters of shallow reef (sometimes its 0.5 m deep). But once you reach the edge, you'll be breathless at the beauty

The divers in the video probably are at their first dive...no buoyancy at all... :)
