Yeah, Kennedy won the catholic vote and Obama won the black vote both because of racial/religious identity. Why is it so controversial to mention?

Pat has a point and was being honest. Everyone knows why Powell endorsed Obama ultimately. Yes he waited, he's a Republican and John McCain is still his friend so there goes the "why did he wait" theory.
Look noteable blacks endorsed Obama becuse he's black. Maybe this was dicey for whites to say but it is true nevertheless.
