Hurricane Dennis caused havoc on many locations and Mike Theiss was there to document two of these locations. First, Mike documented Dennis in Key West as he missed a direct hit by 150 miles but still caused major flooding on the southside of the islands and brought hurricane force winds resulting in mild damage. Mike then documented Dennis in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida as more mild damage occured. Hurricane Dennis was rapidly weakening when making landfall but was still clasified as a Cat-3 Hurricane. At my location on Ft. Walton Beach I saw maybe Cat-1 force winds. When Dennis made landfall the small town of St. Marks, Florida received record breaking storm surge that caused moderate damage to the town.

  • Where was the location you were filming from 0:29-0:57? Because I noticed what looks like a stand of Royal palms in that part that look a bit climbable for next time I go to Key West.

  • @triton115 Well, not sure exactly where but remember it was on the east side of the island at a bar on the ocean. I know that does not help alot but that yellow truck i believe is still there and is kinda known to always be associated with that bar. You can ask around and find it !

  • @UltimateChase Do you recall it being near any familiar landmark places (Smather's beach, White Street Pier, Southernmost point, Key west Airport, etc)?

  • @triton115 I'm really sorry, i went to so many locations during this time. I know it was somewhat near the southermost point bouy.

  • it's amazing how at 3:33 that roof is just getting shredded while a simple 3 pund traffic cone sits right there untouched.

  • a nice hoodride on the beach lol

  • Is that all you got dennis.

  • Dennis was so bad, that they retired it and replaced it with Don

  • omg this is damige

  • @triton115 I live right by there.

  • @triton115 This is in the southern area of Key West. If you were to stand there, you would be facing towards Cuba and the Florida Straits.
