@MickeyMorandini1 Vin has often said he is a practicing Roman Catholic. He says his religion has helped him cope with his first wife's sudden death in 1972 and his son's death in a helicopter crash in the 1980's.

Wooden and Scully were neighbors when Vin moved to LA in 1958. There is a YT clip where Vin describes his first meeting with Coach Wooden. From the until his death, they were great friends.
