It may be true that nothing can be done about the world, but we can all do something about ourselves. Each of us has the ability to find it within ourselves to try living peacefully. Not everyone has the willpower to do so, and as such, it's likely that we will not achieve world peace. However, if each of us does what we can to live peacefully and respect each other's right to do so, the world can be that much better. After all, it's what Jesus would've wanted: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
