Do you know chocolate? This is chocolate!
In a tiny village located deep in the mountains of Ketama, North Morocco, the lives of the people have been intricately tied in with the drug hashish for centuries. In addition to serving as everything from a bartered good to the basis and philosophy of an entire social system, hashish is also both the foundation of dreams for the citizens and the reason for stagnation within the community. This is not only a portrait of people whose very livelihood is forever intertwined with hashish, but a microscopic look at a community whose controversial foundation is at odds with the priorities and laws of an increasingly globalized world.

  • Cannabis is good medicine. I discovered that when I had influenza 42 years ago. It greatly reduced the discofort I was in. Of course, the prohibitionists would say that my experience was anecdotal, and perhaps it is. Yet, my experience also showed me that Cannabis was safer than Phenergan (Promethazine) and better on the body than alcohol or tobacco. Cannabis is a time-honored medicine. It took someone like William Randolf Hearst to change peoples' perception of it and to demonize it.

  • This man is very wise; "its come back now, its not drugs, its medicine"

  • that one boy at 6min looks cute :p
