How to make a lined, zippered pouch or change purse.

I made mine 4" x 5" but of course you can make it larger or smaller depending on what you plan on putting inside!

his may be a bit hard to explain, but.. what I usually do when sewing around the whole thing is to have the zipper seams point towards the lining sections of fabric. That way, the corners where the zipper ends should sit nicely when you turn it right side out.

Here's a diagram with a screenshot from a part of the video.. I hope it helps!

See how the parts where the zipper was sewn in are pointing towards the lining fabric? That's what you want. Just make sure to pin it down nice and tight there so the fabric doesn't shift when you sew over it. If those seams pointed towards the outer fabric, the corners where the zipper ends would be kind of inverted and weird looking.
