  • that is my great great grandma now she is104 and still baking but she is in a nurcing home but nothing is wrong with her she went cuz she got lonley

  • @buccsfan31 It's nice to hear from you. The main reason she moved into Piqua Manor was that she was starting to lose her eye sight which made it hard for here to maintain her apartment. She'll be 104 on 9/11. Yesterday, I told here I'd see her on here 105th birthday.

  • Thank U Roma U dear U!!! I just made this and YUM YUM!!!

(what is that thing U put on the burner to prevent scorching?)

    God bless you!!!!!

  • @Hevinlee She didn't know what it is called. It was a skinny bar bent into the shape of a pentagon, made of material that won't distort with heat. Roma will be 102 on 9/11. Yesterday she made a strawberry/rhubarb pie for the birthday of her 12th-born. She is starting to lose her sight and hearing. Her heart and lungs are good. She has to watch her sugar, and she's got all her marbles. She's smarter than all of us.

  • Cooling it in the refrigerator is what makes it set.

  • Of course, let is cool some before putting anything hot in a refrigerator.

  • Hello Mrs.K

Just put a sugar cream pie in the oven keep your fingers crossed for me . Thanks for the wonderful instructions!

  • I've made this recipe a few times and it's great!!!

I've also done a maple variation where I reduce a cup of maple to about half its volume, which takes about 20 minutes or so, and then add it into the sugar cream just after I add the majority of the half and half.

Roma, you're amazing!!! Thanks for sharing your genius!

    Much love from Canada :D

  • @AlanHemenway Oh thank u for your reply! I have found that at Ace Hardware they sell them. They are called Heat Diffusers and they only cost $2.00! I love her idea of doing that. Scorching can ruin nearly everything and I thank her for that little tip; and of course that AWESOME RECIPE!!! DELICIOUS!!!!! Hats off to Roma and Gods blessings upon her!!!
