I made a mistake with the name of the title match. It was KISEI title match, not KIOU.

  • The one of the major reasons is to leave Gote(White, Second mover) a room to jump his right Knight to 8e freely. The variation without losing a move is to begin with P-7f P-8d P-2f P-8e, then he will not able to jump his right Knight easily to 8e later since his own pawn is already there.

  • Why would someone play Bisshop exchange opening with a lost move? Is it only to avoid side pawn picker opening?

  • They really felt hopeless in the postgame discussion. I was a bit sad, that i couldn't understand, what was this game about, but I felt relieved after reading, that both players were the same way.
