The Accused is a 1988 drama film starring Jodie Foster and Kelly McGillis, directed by Jonathan Kaplan and written by Tom Topor. Foster was awarded the 1988 Academy Award for Best Actress and Golden Globe Award for her performance.

Based on the real-life gang rape of Cheryl Araujo that occurred at Big Dan's Bar in New Bedford, Massachusetts on March 6, 1983, this film was one of the first Hollywood films to deal with rape in a direct manner.

  • a woman NEVER asks for rape! if a girl dresses like that maybe is because she wants attention not to be sexually assaulted

  • Some people attempt to justify rape by the actions or behavior of the woman. If you came across a women one night, lying passed out drunk on a deserted street, naked, with her legs spread, would you rape her? The answer is NO, unless you were a monster, and I think most people would attempt to help her. What circumstance can rape ever be justified or defended?

  • @Hrko1992 You're disgusting. So if a girl dresses in a short skirt or a short dress she deserves to get raped does she? No-one deserves to be forced against their will, for dressing how they feel comfortable. Even despicable people you. You're a low life human being who needs a taste of your own medicine. Then perhaps you can say to yourself... should have acted like a proper human being..... Babe.

  • @Hrko1992 Just admit that your point is a stupid one. "Normally dressed" women get raped every day. Ever heard of joggers in Central Park?

  • Did Jodie's character have a black eye? because apparently Whitney (Houston) punched her, therefore, they had to write the black-eye into the movie.

  • This movie is so suspence, im glad those sickos were guilty, i hated the one with the gay ass black hair telling her a bunch of shit, hes just mad cause he can't eve get a girl like jodie foster! -.-

  • @Hrko1992 I was raped when I was 100% sober and wearing jeans and a sweatshirt. Tell what I did wrong then, in your eyes. And when your wife or daughter or girlfriend is raped, when she's in the hospital getting a rape kit done on her, just pat her on the shoulder and tell her to wear baggier clothes next time. Asshole.

  • @kargirl My point was, if you're gonna dress like a skanky whore, act like a whore, dance like a whore, you will be treated like a piece of meat. But if you will dress nice, like a lady, act like a lady, and dance like a lady, then you will be treated as a goddess. It's as simple as that. Crazy women get crazy attention. Normal women get normal attention. Simple as that, babe ;)

  • @Hrko1992 well yeah, i mean, I'm not going to argue with some ignorant ghetto that has nothing to base his opinions on. so, just leave it like that...

  • @linavibe07 Oh, don't tease me!

  • @morikahjo Every man wishes to be raped by a woman.

  • @kargirl Look at her. Admit it. She wanted it. She was asking for it. She loved it!
