@SKEETnMP5 you have the right idea. But the phone must have GSM capabilities. Since the 8530 does not have a SIM card slot, it cannot be unlocked. The 8520 could be unlocked. Sprint BlackBerries that can be unlocked are the Tour 9630, Bold 9650 and the Bold 9930.
