I would seriously buy a PS3 just for a remake of FF7.

ff7 was one of the best ps1 games ever, along with mgs1... i sooooo would like a ps3 remake........

I've only played 7, 8 & 9 and i thought the latter 2 were crap. Ive just watched the Advent Children Bluray and now i just want to play 7 again. Definitely my favourite game of all time!

I bet Square's saving a FF7 remake as a "Ace in the hole" in case something bad happens to them, like some game that they spent millions on barely sells.

A FF7 remake would be neat, but I'd really prefer a FF6, 8, or 9 remake... 8 the most.

But theres no Complication of FFVIII. I dont see why Square would be putting all this time and energy into the FFVII franchise if they werent going to send it off with a remake that introduces it to a new generation of gamers. I dont hear little kids crying for a remake. Its mostly people in my age group that wants it, 19-24 year olds. In addition to the games loyal fans like me who would buy it, it would branch out to a previously untapped market.

Yeah, and Sony's fanbase tends to lie within the late teens and up. You know, the ones who've been there since its early days as Square. I know the reason for me wanting to play the early ones was because I've been wanting to play all of them since I played II at the age of 8.

im 13 and im into the ff seiries. but i still picked it up from my older brother. but i do agree about the new generation of gamers
