Great movie! Superb music ! Troy was destroyed totally, what was left was absorbed within Greek culture. Turks have nothing in common with Troy. Turks came from Mongolia many, many centuries later. The glorious past of Greece and the civilization they founded 25 centuries ago still enlighten the modern civilization today. Thank you Homer! (Turks - you conquered Constantinople, but not the antiquity!)

Just because you're taught something in school doesn't mean that is true in its own right.

Besides, the right interpretation of the name Troja can only be given in Albanian. TRoja: in Alb. land, mass of land.

Not to mention the fact that when Homer wrote the tragedy, he didn't just give random names to his characters. All their names meant something according to the context they had in the tragedy.

@pelasgian3 exactly, even today the word "troje" means lands, or inhabited regions. and the trojans were called "dardanoi" just like the Dardanians of Kosovo.
