Its stated that it has a 5 inch depth capacity, however the video shows a limited hight as far as bit clearance.

Whats the actual maximum height of clearance for wood working? Say 21/2 inch??

The piece of wood can be 5 inches thick BUT you can only carve to the depth of the sharpened part of the bit which varies between bits but roughly 3/4 of an inch

I think it's cool i do wood turning and im always looking for new ways to do it faster or better. This is a tool it won't hurt your hobby or trade skill. If you want to do it the hand crafted way that's fine too. Don't let a machine scare you.

I don't mean to sound like a complete jerk, so please don't take this as harsh at it may sound.

I fail to understand why you do not consider a product from a person who owns one of these machines a piece of art... Just because a machine carves the final product? Does the user not create the item before it is carved?

I am sure there are many graphic artists that would argue that something they created on the computer and printed out would still be considered art.
