  • this is a bell?

  • Yes. Look at the second picture in the video. This bell was just cast in a different shape called Theophilusglocke.

  • Its not the oldest cast bell in Germany. And the bell was founded at 1036 and not 2 years later. But its a nice video! :-)

  • Are you sure? I read that it was the first cast bell in Germany and that it was cast in 1038. Where can I find out more information?

  • No, the first cast bell in Germany is the "Walbecker Glocke". It's founded about 1000 (i think its older). Look under the german Wikipedia for "Walbecker Glocke". Then you can find it. :-)

  • Interesting!

  • @Miklos1996 Nee nur mit dem Hand wird geläutet

  • von hand und automatik??

  • It's one of the later Theophilusglocken, but it's a Bienenkorbglocke (to 90 %). Theophilusglocken produced about 900 an 1000.

  • Wow!5 Stars!Vor the wonderfull Bell!

  • Nein, Theophilusglocken sehen anders aus, das ist die frühe Bienenkorbrippe, außerdem entstanden größere Glocken in Bienenkorbrippe und Theophilusglocken stammen aus der Zeit 800 bis 900.
