Dr. Yaron Brook, president and executive director of the Ayn Rand Institute, illustrates how
Ayn Rand's novel "Atlas Shrugged" sheds light on the unseen forces that drive cultural and political trends and how the ideas in the novel are vital to any effort to limit government.

  • I personally went through a seemingly radical change due to the Tea party. I went from republican, to Tea Party member, then to Objectivist. In truth, I was in line with Objectivism most of my life, I just had no idea what it was. Feels good to have a solid philosophy.

  • "Why would we give control of the minds of our children to the government if we won't give control of our iPhones to the government?" - great line!

  • The smear has shown up in both versions.

Your quality is evidenced by your claim that my message was "unprovoked aggresssion" when _you_ initiated a false claim against Ayn Rand, in a trashily worded message.

I judge your refusual to prove your claim as sleazy behaviour.

One fundamentally good thing about rational philosophy is the freedom to reject jerk behaviour, like yours.

  • @WhyMeMoFo sorry i was making sure i was not being trolled. i understand full well the effects of that medication, but i don't follow her blindly she is human like anyone who thought of a way of going about things but she has some good ideas or at least i think so i would like to think you for taking the time out of your day to bring these things to my attention weather i knew them or not you tried to educate me and i appreciate that

  • @freedompersuader i never said anything about her social security I don't take kindly to your ignorance nor your unprovoked aggression to me i was asking questions i never spoke about rand i only said "do you have any proof" to whymemofo

  • The malicious ignorance of people like "cornyking" is amazing.

Ayn Rand was married to Frank O'Conner, hence the Connor name (which "cornyking" can't even spell correctly).

Her birth name was Alisa Rosenbaum, Ayn Rand was an author/movie name, it is very common to take one.

For example, how is it possible to get social security under a false name, since it is based on contributions?

The beyond-sloppiness just shows how malicious people like "cornyking" are.

  • @WhyMeMoFo do you have proof?

  • @WhyMeMoFo "Ms Rand was a very ill woman."

I didn't abandon my appreciation of Woody Allen's movies when I learned that he had personal issues. I'm not abandoning the ideas of Ayn Rand just because she also had personal issues. But you can condemn anyone you wish to.

I wonder, hypothetically, would you be interested in Ayn Rand's message if she had lived a totally faultless life?

  • @egervari Your statement is not inappropriate, it is simply stupid.

  • @WhyMeMoFo explain?
