  • Nicely done. I recognize the song, but when I was a boy, it was “That Little Old Sod Shanty On My Claim.” It was performed fairly often on Stuart Hamblyn’s “Covered Wagon Jubilee”, a morning radio show in L.A. in the Thirties. Hamblyn's repertoire was heavy on cowboy songs, but included songs like this one, "When The White Azaleas Start Blooming", "Ain't Nobody's Business", etc.

  • @Tarzana22 I remember "ain't nobody's business..I like the old songs, but not too many of us left that's old enough to remember them.. I sure appreciate you taking time to watch and to comment...Come by any ol' time...*ron

  • Great rendition of this oldie, nice violin accents.

Of course, to be more contemporary, you should change the lyrics to be

"little old log condo in the lane."

  • @qivideo8 ...lol..there's an idea!...and to be politically correct, I'll have to leave out the word angles, and say "the government's watching over me when I lay down to sleep". Thanks for taking time to watch....*ron

  • Beautiful oldtime music! I've listened to, and played, oldtime american music since I was around 18 (55 now), and I love it more and more for every passing year! Keep up the good work!

  • @ophiegirl1 This tune has been around a very long time...not sure who wrote it but some original words have to be changed to be "politically correct"...lol.. I hope it brought back some fond memories.Thank you very much for dropping in and spending some time with us..We sure appreciate your visit and your comment...*ron
