The morning moves on and the coffey and bacon sarnies get consumed with gusto.

  • Good stuff:)

  • ive bin using dissolving baits myself, takes a bit of faith in your approach and your baits but ive bin impressed so far,nt sure about milks for the summer but well av t see,i use heron baits savoury fish for the last 2 summers but ive got addicted to messing with ingriedients,i do the same if i need to increase the bouyancy of my pops, there just not bouyant enough maybe nashys pop up mix,bt cork balls solve all problems, milks do seem to b forgotten these days,if only ppl realised how gd they are

  • And you will get super fat carp and bulging nets!

  • li agree but some of the new super milks lyk micelar caseims and hydrolysed wheys they cn gain far mre usable protien these days in a mre balanced bait, plus with the use of certain emulsefiers the cn utalise mre still or use with soluble and predigested fishmeals and make something a lil special?to be honest bait makings become all encompassing at the mo its mre addictive than fishing!lol you are indeed ryt about nuts yet they serve very lil value and yet theyll eat em to the point of illness??

  • Why does a carp pick up a tiger nut which, nutritionally is completely useless to it? The sugars! It gets a signal that there is food there and so the carp eats it. Give it a better signal and some food as well

  • Milk proteins are expensive and the carp just cannot utilise them fully so they are expensive from a nutritional and a bait making point of view.

Basically Fred Wilton got it a bit wrong. I have to say that inside, I felt it was not quite right myself. It was back in the 80ts when I first learned of his theories. Although I slavishly used High Protein Baits I never felt that they were getting me the results. By 1983 I had abandoned them and gone over to fishmeals, and carbs ect.

  • I'm not sure i am pretty enough?

Them carp are the stars eh.

    cheers tho buddy:)
