  • very nice run, but how did you manage a 14.3 on your other video?

  • completely different tracks with completely different conditions. the 14.3 run was done at LACR which is around 2700ft above sea level and known for being a slower track. this run was done at irwindale speedway which is around 250ft above sea level and had decent conditions that night. at a sea level track with better weather i would expect my car to perform even better.

  • yeah here in nashville at our 1/8 i ran an 8.8, and at the speed way ran 13.79. So i was like waaa?!?!?

But yeah, mine dynoed 225whp with just an intake, chip, and custom tune. Must have been a hell of a tune because i havent seen but a few strong S52's

  • 8.8 is pretty good with those mods. I have 242rwhp and a bit of weight reduction which helped me get the results I got. I wouldn't put too much faith in my tune...I'm fairly certain it's the reason I have so many issues with my MAF. There's definitely more power available in my car with a better tune.

  • Thanks! My weight reduction is:

removed front seats and installed a single fixed-back driver seat

    removed rear seats

    removed spare wheel/tire

    d-force ltw5 wheels

replaced stock battery with a lightweight battery

    aftermarket exhaust

    lightweight flywheel/clutch assembly

    1/4 tank of fuel

The MAF unplugging thing is because my tune is jacked up and the car somehow runs better without it plugged in. Look for me on bimmerforums (jworms) for a more detailed description of the MAF issues.
