This video commemorates the launch on July 2, 2006 of a Viking Ship replica crafted by Pehr Boling. On July 14, 2008, Pehr Bolling passed away. Brady Hallongren edited the clips and added music to create this video. Over a number of years, Pehr carved a dragon head and tail and painted shields. Son-in-law Paul Rimington attached the mast and motor. Neighbor Jim Carpenter assisted with the last minute details including supplying the motor and transporting the boat for its final fitting.

  • @SkjaldborgVikings

come on now, wheres your viking spirit??

  • Nice. A great tribute to family, but too bad you had to wear horned helmets.

  • at least the vikings are real

  • Skal! soooo cool!

  • I am very, VERY proud of my Uncle Pelle -- and how he had the time and opportunity and resources to fulfill this dream. It isn't silly at all! It is impressive -- and -- even more than that -- inspirational! God bless you, Uncle! Bravo! God bless our family!

We are all proud of being Swedes -- and Americans.

Sincerest Love -- Valerie Bolling Hallsten
