  • I think I had a recall of seeing this sketch on one of the Season 33 episodes of Sesame Street which took place on PBS. How about you guys?

  • Really?

Season 33, huh? I never thought they were airing this sketch by then. I sure didn't see this sketch during season 33. Then again, I didn't see that much of season 33 =\

  • I love the casual spontaneity of Ernie and Bert in the early days. (I miss it, actually.)

  • Yeah. Jim and Frank really had something special when they performed Ernie and Bert. Steve and Eric do a great job as E&B nowdays, but no puppeteer can replicate the magic Jim and Frank had.

  • I saw this on the Sesame Street Video Player. The painting kind of looks like Frank Oz.

  • Come to think of it, the painting does look a little like Frank Oz XD

  • lol bert

  • yes

  • Burt looks like George Lucas the end! LOL

  • It would be funny if Ernie said "Bert! you have contacts!"

  • To me the painting looks like Jim Henson and Frank Oz mixed together. Also at 2:49 you can see Frank Oz's head at the right-hand corner

  • They should put that painting in an art museum.

  • It's the thought that counts

  • @Jbrangwynne53 Yeah, I remember seeing this after one of those "Journey to Ernie" games right around that time.

  • @Jbrangwynne53

You're right :) I wonder if it was intended to be a mix of Frank and Jim themselves.

  • Yet another clip that I'd completely forgotten about. Excellent.
