This song I heard for the first time doing English Country dancing. I fell in love with it and although I don't play it too fancy, I prefer the simple waltz feel that the song has. I don't know too much history on this song except that it is a fairly old song from at the very latest the 1700's most likely.

  • Wonderful!! I really admire your techique of accompanying yourself. I'm going to try to learn this lovely waltz like you do it! Do you know the origin of this waltz? By the way, my dulcimer stand is exactly like yours! Thanks for sharing!

  • @kallegu Thanks for you nice comments. I have spent a lot of time trying to play the chords and it does really add to the song once you can pull it off! Have you had a chance to learn the song yet? I realized it's been five whole months since you've posted this comment and I'm JUST NOW RESPONDING! I really am unsure of the origin, but yes the adjustable stand is great! Happy Hammering!
