@1000threedaysgrace Ms. Lovett told him his wife died so he tried to move on, but later in the film his wife comes in to the shop, kind of insane and disguised, saying she recognized him, so obviously he killed her. Later when he sees her body, he sees that she is his wife and finds out Ms. Lovetts was lying. Ms. Lovett tries to explain and tells him she loves him, and he pretends to forgive her but he doesn't and then he kills her. Does that help?

@1000threedaysgrace he misunderstood her and thought she said his wife was dead then he kils his wife and kills Mrs.Lovetts by thowing her into a furnace. hope this helps, its kinda hard to explain.
