  • yes you are right Dave, was not aware that Greece did not join the electronic launch....just remembered we had in 2001 or 2002 with the other countries....sorry buddy

  • no worries at all. Thanks again for watching. Best Regards, Dave

  • Hi Dave, Greece has the Euro as well since 2001, they got it the same time as Spain....fyi. Thought you missed that.

  • As I understand it the Euro launched as an electronic currency in 99 with 11 countries of which Spain was included. Greece was then the 12th country who joined in 2001 for the launch of the paper currency. I am pretty sure that is correct. Best Regards, Dave

  • Oh, something else. Do you support the Euro or would you like to see a return to the older European currencies?

  • Hi RogueKnight, I tend to think of things more from a trading standpoint, in other words how I can make money off of what is, rather than how I think things should be. With this being said however I think over the long term the Euro will be good for Europe so I would say that I support it. Best Regards, Dave

  • Hey Dave, long time no see. I wanted to note two things and have your response to them. There's been some talk Italy wants to ditch the Euro and return to its old currency, the Lira. Think it's possible for them to do this, and would it be good or bad for them in your opinion? Also, there's been pressure on the UK to abandon the Pound Sterling to join the Euro. Think they'll cave or not? And do you think they should or not join the Euro? Let me know, willya?

  • Denmark war one of the only EU members where the people actually was given possibility to VOTE on the Maarstricht Treaty - and the Euro; with a no-vote on both.

  • much appreciated thank you for the comment lots more to come. Best Regards, Dave

  • my pleasure thank you for the comment I am glad you liked it. Best Regards, Dave
