  • Exactly. Most people fail to realize the strategies involved in poker, it's a very very complex game. Any good poker player will tell you that to play your best, you need to be in shape, and sober. It's really not the same as playing blackjack, roulette, craps, etc. I wish people would realize that.

  • If your making commercials about youth gambling, your 12 times more likely to embellish numbers, and 15 times more likely to use numbers based on no stats

  • "if your kids gamble....they are 3 X more likely to become conservative republicans...."

  • SO True!!

  • I'm not mad that they are dealing with a problem, i'm saying that the way that they're going about it is completely counteractive and unrelated to the problem they are trying to solve.

  • Dude, your dumb as hell. They may not be focusing on as serious a problem as Violence, or drugs. But they are focusing on a problem. You don't yell at someone for rescuing a puppy, even though saving an endangered chimpanzee would be better.

  • Everything is a gateway to drugs and alcohol these days.

  • They should focus on drugs and alcohol and violence rather than gambling. You think gambling causes alcohol and drug abuse? If anything, playing poker (what's depicted in this commercial) keeps kids off the streets and away from drugs and alcohol. A friendly poker game is a great way to pass time and exercise the mind, much like chess. You think if gambling ceased to exist, all the problems with drugs, alcohol, and violence would go away? Give me a break!
