Pretty small differences really, the shape of the frame will be different etc

He does a pretty poor job of explaining those bikes actually. The reality is that any of them can be used for racing, touring or long distance. The Specialized one has got compact geometry (the top bar slopes downwards) but professional racers use bikes like that just as much as those with traditional frames (a straight top bar) like the BMC.

I thought they seemed all the same... a racer is a racer right? Though now listening to this I would like to go for the road racer type for all out speed.. where can I look for this? and what types are there? as when your looking around is simply a racer / road bike you look for and not these different versions
