I saw The Modern Day Cowboy at Bloomington for the first time. He picked up quick time, and had he not have wrecked that night, he was easily going to win. He puts the Hammer Down and is ALWAYS exciting to watch! Love em!

Clayton vs Stanbrough battles past and future will be talked about as epics for as long as racers race...For that matter, the good old days may be good..and old..and days, but USAC right now has the above two, plus Darland, Coons, Gardner, Sweet, Cottle, Shuman, Hines, Jones, Hockett, Ballou, Bacon, Windom, Hagen, Whitt and some I'm likely forgetting. These are so awfully good old nights I reckon, and the season can't get started soon enough.
