  • I've heard this song in a broadcasting about Sefardic music. It was about Sefardic music has travelled from Persia over Europe to Spain. The Sefardiem in Spain are singing this song in the Spanish language on the same melody. This is also a very old melody it was already sung in the 18th century

  • Yes it's true. This is not a Sefardic song but a Turkish one Here are the lyrics: Üsküdar’a Gider İken Aldı Da Bir Yağmur, Kâtibimin Setresi Uzun Eteği Çamur. Kâtip Uykudan Uyanmış Gözleri Mahmur. Kâtip Benim Ben Kâtibin El Ne Karışır, Kâtibime Kolalı Da Gömlek Ne Güzel Yaraşır. Üsküdar’a Gider İken Bir Mendil Buldum, Mendilimin İçine Lokum Doldurdum. Kâtibimi Arar İken Yanımda Buldum. Kâtip Benim Ben Kâtibin El Ne Karışır, Kâtibime Kolalı Da Gömlek Ne Güzel Yaraşır.

  • Mucho sentimiento, hebreo sefardita precioso.

  • Bonita canción!!! ¿Cuál es su título en ladino? ¿o en hebreo? Pieza muy querida en Europa Sur-oriental y Turquía (bonita versión greco-turca en watch?v=Hk19hF-4FXs).

Does anyone know the ladino or hebrew title of this song?
