@Maskedhaven I used to feel the same way. But it increases the excitement, when the chord change comes afterward. Per se it's nothin, but makes the aftermath more enjoyable. Similar phenomenon, they used to play a more mixed bag on r & r radio in 50's & early 60's East Coast, with lot of, sort of night club crooners. I hated the music, but it always made the stuff I liked sound even better, when it finally came on.
Hey all you Ray Charles fans out there, I absolutely love this song. Its one I can't find any where. Is there any one out there that knows where I can get a copy of this song. Thanks for the help.
@used2bhenpeked I used to have the 45, but my Mom threw out all my 45's while I was far away, a stoned hippie fool.

Amazing track, could do without the opening though.

you can find it as a bonus-track (if you're lucky) on some of Ray's cd's.
I played this version a couple of years back with a band, check it out, y'all..
