One of the things I have been wanting to try is teaching the Peacock Eel to take food from my hand. It concerns me how anything I put down that he is used to eating as food is also something other fish in tank are quick to gobble up. This is why I want him to become comfortable with eating from my hand. I can ensure better feeding for him this way.

Today I dangled a worm right in front of him. It took him a bit to trust me enough and then he grabbed it. Of course it's too big for him to eat so once he gave up trying to tear it apart I chopped it up for him. It was interesting to watch the Betta and the Loaches attempt to eat these bits. Of course neither has the mouth size for it. Later on all of it did disappear off camera which tells me the Eel did eat. Anyway enjoy!
